I fell in love with this stamp, and wanted to teach how to create 5 very different cards from the same stamp. This is a great overall technique class if you want to advance you stamping skills. We will use distress inks, copic markers, embossing powders, and mica powders. You will learn when to use and the differences between dye, pigment, distress and Staz-on inks. (if you already own the stamp and want to take the class, just bring the stamp to class and receive a 6$ store credit)

3D Shrine Assemblage Class

Carine teaches you how to combine random ephemera and blend them into a cohesive piece of artwork. You will desin a 3D shrine of wood, glass, metal, plastic, wire and more in the style of Dia de los Muertos and found object art. You will learn aging techniques such as rusting and patinas.

Dreamweaver Valentine Cards

Come and love your stencils as we create beautiful cards using many techniques. We will be using the new Color Solutions, gold leafing, Mica powders, possibly some metal and of course embossing paste. Please note that the samples in the store may change a little as the new Valentine papers are coming into the store at this time and I will be using the same stencils but possibly in a different way.

Layered Metallica

Many of us have worked with metal, but this is an opportunity to Dream it UP a notch. Join Lynell Harlow of Dreamweaver Stencils as she uses colored aluminum and embosses and layers stencils. Also enjoy the new Color Solution Artist Grade Ink and learn to color your creations. you will be amazed at what you an do with the combination of these materials.
Things to bring: Dreamweaver will provide all materials, but if you have an embossing machine bring it along and bring a pair of old scissors to cut metal.

Faux Cloisonne
2pm - 4:30pm $38

Learn to use wide open designs with the new paste spreader as we do faux cloisonné several different ways. One step and two step cloisonné and a resist technique will all be covered as we used embossing pastes both glossy and matte, plus UTEE and regular embossing powders will be addressed for these techniques.

Things to bring: Two each of 1/8" and 1/4" Dreamweaver Stencil brushes, LM2010 paste spreader, paper trimmer, mounting tape to finish cards.

Wahoooo! We have all our Hero Arts 2012 Debut stamps and will be doing make and takes all day tomorrow, Saturday, December 10th. Love that we live down the street from Hero Arts so I hopped in my car and drove to their factory to pick up tons of the stamp that Tim used on his tag last night! So stop by tomorrow, check out the new Hero Arts 2012...and make the tag that VERY few other people with have!!!!! If that's not enough...we've pulled ALL of their discontinued stamps and marked them at 40% off, there are some cool ones, grab them while they are still here. Remember we have a huge parking lot on the corner of Virginia and 4th, so parking is EASY.

We've moved the date and time of the 12 tags class to Tuesday evening, 12/13...that way we can have all 12 tags to look at and discuss! It runs from 4pm-8pm and we will have supplies for 4 of the tags all prepped (we'll choose the more complex so you can learn the techniques) . Class won't take the full 4 hours, but we wanted to make sure people who had to work/or get home for dinner would have time to play...drop in when you can. $25 Taught by Nikki and Diane.
